PROMOTION OF ACCESS TO INFORMATION ACT (PAIA) MANUAL
Prepared in terms of Section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, No. 2 of 2000 (as amended)
1. Introduction
This manual has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2 of 2000 ("PAIA"). PAIA gives effect to the constitutional right of access to information held by the State and private bodies that is required for the exercise or protection of any rights.
This manual provides a reference guide to enable members of the public to access information held by Engel & Völkers Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd, subject to justifiable limitations.

To access any record not automatically available, a requester must complete Form 2 as prescribed in the PAIA Regulations.

Fees:
A request fee and access fee may be charged. The requester will be informed of the applicable fee before the request is processed.

Access to certain records may be refused under the provisions of Chapter 4 of PAIA, which includes (but is not limited to):
Protection of the privacy of a third party
Commercial confidentiality
Protection of the safety of individuals or property
Legal privilege
Protection of research information
